A woman named Fatima Tasneem has got a job as Mithila Farzana in the Bangladesh High Commission in Canada. The woman has been identified as the sister of ICT Adviser Nahid Islam. Nahid Islam said the news is not correct. Fact-checking or fact-checking organization Rumor Scanner has also called it fake news.

Fatima Tasneem is a member of the Higher Council of the People’s Rights Council. She is claimed to be the sister of adviser Nahid, but there is no relationship between them. Fatima did not get a job in the Bangladesh mission in Canada. The Ministry of Public Administration has not issued any such notice. Fatima Ryumer told Scanner: “It’s all fake news. There is no real truth to this. Besides, I did not study from this university (Jagannath). Everything is untrue and false. ’Rumor Scanner said the domain of the current version of the site was registered in August 2023. The domain, which was last updated on July 12, is valid until August 2025. However, the existence of the site has been available since 2015. They were later removed again. A Facebook page with the same name was also set up that year. The page is currently managed by two people from Bangladesh and two from the UK. If you go to this page, you will get some idea about their activities. It was very active in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Many links to the site were shared at that time. The page was reactivated two days ago, despite a handful of posts between 2021 and 2023. Links to alleged news reports about Fatima Tasneem have also been shared.
