Appointments of 24 Officials Canceled

In a significant move, the government has decided to cancel the contractual appointments of 24 administration officials, including Bangladesh ambassadors to Germany, Iraq, and Japan.
On Tuesday, the Ministry of Public Administration, in its capacity, issued a notification canceling the remaining period of their contracts.

Project Director (PD) of the Primary Infrastructure Construction Project of Sheikh Hasina Institute of Frontier Technology Syed Zahurul Islam, Additional Secretary of the President’s Office Syed Belal Hossain, Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany Md Shahidul Haque, among others, were present on occasion. Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Commissioner (Engineer) of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Sheikh Reaz Ahmed; Fazlul Bari, Additional Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat Ashok Kumar Debnath, Commissioner (Management and Administration) of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission. Md. Delwar Hossain, Chairman of Bangladesh Rubber Board, Syeda Sarwar Jahan, Project Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited. Aftab Uddin Talukder, Project Director of Export Competitiveness for Job Project; The contractual appointments of Monsurul Alam, member of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Mohsina Yasmin, and Information Commission secretary Zubaida Nasrin have been canceled.

Besides, the officials who have canceled the remaining period of the contract are the director General of the Bangladesh National Museum. Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Shahabuddin Ahmed, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director GSM Zafrullah, National River Conservation Commission Chairman Sarwar Mahmud, Additional Director General of Directorate of Primary Education Uttam Kumar Das, Director General of National Science and Technology Museum Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, National River Conservation Commission full-time member Satyendra Kumar Sarker, Bangladesh Press Council Secretary Shyamal Chandra Karmakar, among others, spoke on occasion—Project Director of Mouza Plot-based National Digital Land Zoning Project.
