Bangladesh-China to take ties to new height

Adviser to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Nahid Islam said China is a long-time friend of Bangladesh. Bangladesh has historical and cultural relations with China. In that continuation, the interim government is keen to take Bangladesh-China island relations to a new height.

Adviser Nahid Islam said this during a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador at the office room of the Posts and Telecommunications Department on Monday (September 30).The Chinese ambassador said the situation in Bangladesh is gradually returning to normal under the leadership of the interim government which will be further improved in the future. Whatever the political situation in Bangladesh, Bangladesh-China relations will remain intact. ’

Nahid Islam thanked the Chinese ambassador for sending a medical team to treat the injured during the anti-discrimination student and mass movement.The adviser said the main objective of the interim government is to reform and restructure the state structure.Bangladesh wants to gain experience of the way China has prospered in the economy after the revolution. Because recently Bangladesh has become independent through revolution. China’s advice and cooperation on reforms is very important for Bangladesh.

The ambassador said China believes that the interim government can build a new Bangladesh through reforms.He invited the adviser to visit China. The adviser said he believes China will play an important role in expanding Bangladesh’s digital economy.
